The Maine Tracking Network now includes 2013 Lyme disease incidence data and 2010 asthma hospitalization and emergency department visit data.
With nearly 1,400 cases of Lyme disease reported in 2013, the number of cases in Maine continues to increase; Lyme disease is now the second most commonly reported infectious disease in the state. Lyme disease data on the Maine Tracking Network spans the years 2001 through 2013 and is presented in partnership with the Maine CDC Infectious Disease Epidemiology Program.
Asthma data is available from 2000 through 2010 for hospitalizations, emergency department visits, and adult self-reported prevalence. The asthma content was also expanded to allow users to query hospitalizations and emergency department visits by either the date of admission or date of discharge, providing more analytical flexibility for different uses of these data.
